Fees and Payments

Fees are typically based on a 50-minute session with 10 minutes note taking time allocated post session.

Fees are charged for professional contact/ services including in person consultation, phone/skype consultation, report preparation and preparation of therapy materials were requested by the client. Fees for phone/Skype consultations, reports/ letters and off-site visits (e.g., school observations) are required in advance. Cash, cheque and Credit Card payments (Visa and Master Card only) are accepted. EFTPOS (Cheque and Savings accounts) is also accepted.

Current Fees:

  • $200 initial intake session and planning
  • $193 ongoing therapy sessions (Medicare rebate $96.65 under Mental health care plan)

Medicare rebates

If you are entitled to government rebates under Medicare Plans (i.e. Mental Health Care plan), we can typically process your claim on the spot. Medicare plans can be obtained from your GP and will allow you to claim a partial rebate on 10 sessions per calendar year (Medicare rebate $96.65 under Mental health care plan). Fees are payable in full on the day of service and your Medicare rebate will then be processed. Please be aware that Medicare and NDIS claiming may not be used concurrently.

Cherished Minds is a Private Psychology Clinic and as such we unfortunately do not offer bulk billing services.

NDIS Funding

Cherished Minds is NDIS registered meaning that all manner of NIDS managed funds (agency, plan management and self-managed) can be used to cover service fees in full.

Current NDIS rate as per NDIA pricing: $222.99 per hour

Cancellation Policy

We, like many professional services, have a cancellation policy that reflects the time that a clinician sets aside for your appointment. We also generally run waiting lists, so if we are given reasonable notice then we can offer another client a time that is suitable.
Therefore, full fee of the pre-scheduled service is charged for sessions that are cancelled less than/within one business day (24 hours) prior to the scheduled appointment time and where the Client Fails to attend their pre-scheduled appointment without notice. Consultations cancelled within 48hrs notice of the prescheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the prescheduled appointment fee. The cancellation policy is strictly adhered to and applies to all reasons for session cancellation including ill health unless a doctor’s certificate is provided.
